Benefits of yoga
Yoga is a holistic practice that integrates the health and well-being of mind, body and spirit. Yogic practices include physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation and codes of conduct for daily life.

Asanas or physical postures are designed not only to improve the strength, agility and poise of our physical body, but also to exercise the internal glands that are so vital for maintaining the emotional and physiological functions of our biological system. The therapeutic benefits of yogic postures are recognized in both traditional and modern medicine.

Linda Highland
Linda is a practitioner of Scaravelli/Iyengar yoga of 25 years standing. She teaches at the Morley College and several other centres around London. Her classes are designed to benefit both beginner and intermediate levels.

Romy Tennant
Romy was first introduced to yoga whilst at drama school, training to be an actor. After three years in this competitive profession she returned to yoga simply for physical fitness, but soon found that this non-competitive practice inspired a feeling of serenity that stayed long after stepping off the mat.

Romy teaches yoga in the Vinyasa Flow style - a dynamic, invigorating practice, that develops strength and flexibility, and allows you to leave the class feeling relaxed and revitalised. She is also a practitioner of Yoga for the Special Child, and continues to study different kinds of yoga.

Chris Patmore
Chris has practiced ashtanga yoga since 2000 and is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance UK. Through an open and exploratory approach, he aims to share his passion for the system and assist students in developing their own self-practice.

Chris teaches traditional ashtanga yoga. In ashtanga, postures are connected with synchronised breath, gaze points and internal locks in the body. This generates internal heat in the body, giving ashtanga its dynamic, often challenging, form. These small group classes are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of yoga. Expect lots of personalised instruction and plenty of adjustments to help you progress in your practice.
